You will enjoy making photos in a country where the wildness is still to be found. You will take also photos of the interesting architecture elements in the Romanian cities and the most interesting village architecture in Maramures and Bucovina. On Sundays you will find people in traditional clothes going to church, picturesque elements all over, and also see the famous painted monasteries from Moldavia, part of UNESCO heritage.

DAY 1 Friday
Arrival in Cluj Napoca, in Transylvania. Visit of Cluj, dinner and accommodation in a 4* Hotel.
DAY 2 Saturday
We will depart to Maramures. On the way we will stop several times for different sites (the village life is still preserved like it was 50 years ago), we will also climb the hills to admire some nice views. Visit of the “Merry cemetery“ from Sapanta. Dinner and accommodation in a private house.
DAY 3 Sunday
This day we will walk and drive: we will visit several villages from Maramures, take pictures when the locals are going to church dressed in traditional costumes. We will visit the following villages: Calinesti, Sarbi, Budesti, Surdesti, Desesti, Sugatag.
DAY 4 Monday
One of the peak days. We will go with a steam train, over 100 years old up into the mountains, approximately 40km, in a landscape that you will never forget!!! We will stop on the way to make pictures. It will be one of your unforgettable days. Lunch will be a picnic at the end of the train line.
DAY 5 Tuesday
We depart to Bucovina, driving through the Iza Valley, crossing the East Carpathians at 1400m high and arrive in Bucovina. Dinner and accommodation at private home.
DAY 6 Wednesday
Today we will visit the painted monasteries from Bucovina. We will also take part to a demonstration of how the Easter eggs are painted here. The eggs themselves are pieces of art, so it is worthwhile to make live pictures. The monasteries are painted pieces of art. You will visit and get professional explanations for Moldovita, Sucevita and Voronet monasteries.
Dinner around the camp fire with folk music and dances. Same accommodation.
DAY 7 Thursday
Today we will go to Iasi, the Moldavian capital a city full of different architecture styles, with buildings from the 19th and early 20th century like the palace of Culture, the Metropolitan church, etc. Also we will visit a gypsy village and enjoy the gypsy music. Dinner and wine tasting in an orthodox monastery.
DAY 8 Friday
We continue to visit Iasi and about noon we depart to Neamt monastery, a very interesting monk monastery where we will also overnight. On the way we will visit some interesting sites like a citadel from the 15th century, a doll museum, etc. The place where Neamt monastery lies is a piece of heaven.
DAY 9 Saturday
Driving over Bicaz Gorge and next to the Bicaz lake will give you the opportunity to see the most beautiful pass over Carpathians. On the way to Cluj we will stop in the salt mine from Praid. Accommodation in Sighisoara, an old Saxon citadel from the 13th century, which is still inhabited.
DAY 10 Sunday
We make the last pictures in Sighisoara and then transfer to the airport near Cluj. Departure home.
