Come with us to bring a smile on the children faces! Everybody knows that the children are the future, so come with us and help them to make tomorrow a better day. The main idea is to get involved, to give, to share, to work and be together with the ones you want to help and to receive their happiness back! Helping orphanages is not only about raising and donating money, this is just the easy part and the ones that give money do not see the effects of their donations and can not enjoy the happiness of the ones that were helped. If you want to take part to a Romanian charity program and give a little bit of your time, care and help, follow us in a very special Romanian journey. This one is dedicated to the children living in orphanages. You have the opportunity to help those children and also see Romania and some of its cultural treasures. You will be able to enjoy those things having at your side one or many children who will also enjoy together with you. The communication it will be easy because most of the kids can speak English. We do not want to establish a structured daily program, we just want to show what you can do in a week in Bucharest or may be in other regions or cities in Romania like Iasi, Cluj, Brasov, etc. The orphanage chosen as an example for you is Macrina Orphanage in Bucharest, an orphanage having 35 children from 4 to 18 years old. At this very moment they have an important project to be done, a new building
which is supposed to be finished next year by fall, a building for mothers and children that were abused and need a shelter.

Here is a list of activities you can choose of:
• Direct help in building the shelter (don’t be afraid, you do not need professional skills for these).

• Spend time in the orphanage helping the kids and the personal at different daily normal activities;

• Learn them to raise money or do it together. For example you can organize a fair with the children, sell things that you manufactured together and learn them to earn some money like this.

Considering that “All we need is education!” you can make a difference in these children life by:

• Exchanging knowledge, giving them advice, offer them another perspective of life. It is our duty as grown-ups to offer the support for them; they do not know things, they just learn from what they see and hear around them.

• Going with the kids to the Sunday service at the church;

• Every Sunday there is a concert with classical music for children at the Romanian National Television, during which the children learn about the music, musicians and composers;

• You may go to the National Art Museum where the children can play, paint and professional people will teach and show the children the characteristics of a chosen artist or artists;

• You might go with them to the Village Museum or any Museum where the kids have fun and will be interested in;

• Make a trip in the surroundings to interesting sites.You will go by bus, the kids will love this day and never forget it;

• Learn them to act like a team: go to a basketball or football playground and play with them, children learn very much from playing;

• Make them feel like having a parent with them, discuss, go shopping with them, or just walking around, have lunch with them, go to playgrounds, walk into the parks, go boating etc.

In this way you will have contact with local people, understand our problems, traditions, culture, religion, etc. During these days you will be escorted by a guide who can help you organizing your journey, can arrange for you tickets for an opera show, or other educational events, show you the city, show you the most important museums in Bucharest etc.
It will be 7 days of full experience, and we guarantee you that the ties that will be bound will be never be forgotten for both sides. You will be accommodated in a 3* Hotel near to the orphanage, but if you want we can arrange for you also 4* Hotels.
