Valachian Monasteries Tour
The monasteries of Moldavia are world famous, and can  be found on the UNESCO list.
We intend to show you that the Valachian monasteries are as beautiful as the Moldavian ones, but unfortunately not as promoted as their sister one.

DAY 1
Arrival in Bucharest. Dinner and accommodation at a 4* Hotel. 
 
DAY 2
After breakfast, departure to Curtea de Arges the rst capital of Walachia in the 14th century. This morning we will visit the old cathedral (14th Century) and the new monastery, which was renovated in the 19th century by the Romanian King Carol the First of Hohenzollern. After lunch we depart to Rimnicu Vilcea, where we will visit Cozia monastery, founded by the rst Walachia landlord who faced the Turks in 1395, Mircea the Old. Dinner and accommodation in Rimnicu Vilcea. 
 
DAY 3 Visit the Valachian Monasteries
Departure to Horezu monastery, the crown jewel of the Valachian monasteries. On the way we will visit Govora monastery, ”Dintr-un Lemn” monastery with its wonder icon, Arnota and Bistrita where we will have lunch inside the monastery. We will be accommodated at Horezu Monastery and have a typical dinner of the region, near the monastery. 
 
DAY 4 Learn about Constantin Brancusi
After breakfast we depart to Tg. Jiu. On the way we visit Polovragi monastery, the “Women’s Cave” and the works of the world famous modern artist, Constantin Brancusi. After lunch, we visit Hobita the place where Brancusi was born and on the way to Hercules spa and resort, Tismana monastery. Dinner and accommodation in Hercules spa and resort. 
 
DAY 5
Morning at leisure, so one can have a bath, or a short visit, in the old Roman baths. After lunch we leave to see the Danube at ”Cazane”, the place where it encounters the mountains, a place of unique beauty. We will also visit the new monastery of 1925 located on a hill in the new Oravita city. Accommodation near the Danube where we will have a typical sherman dinner on a boat near the Hotel. 
 
DAY 6 Short sightseeing of Bucharest
Departure to Bucharest. It will be a long day, without any visits on the way unfortunately so as to arrive in Bucharest in 4 - 5 hours. Lunch on the way. Short tour of the city (Patriarchal Church, Antim Church, the old centre) and a specic dinner with folkmusic. Accommodation at a 4* Hotel. 
 
DAY 7 Departure home
Transfer to the airport and departure. 
? 4* bus with toilette, bar, and coffee maker
? accommodation at 3* and 4* hotels
? full board
? professional guide
? Entrance fees to museums, castles and monsteries.
