DAY 1 Visit Timisoara
Arrival in Timisoara. Transfer to a 3* Hotel in the center of the city. Accommodation. Visit Timisoara - the town of the Romanian Revolution of 1989 - known as ”little Vienna”. Nice Romanian Dinner.
DAY 2 Learn about Constantin Brancusi
After breakfast, departure south. Scenic drive along the Danube! Lunch in “Hercules’ Baths”, the copy of Karlsbad in the Czech Republic. Arrival in Tirgu Jiu, the city of the great artist Constantin Brancusi, the creator of modern sculpture. Accommodation in a 3* Hotel in the center of the city. Visit of some of Brancusi’s art works. Dinner.
DAY 3 Visit the monasteries of Oltenia
After breakfast, departure to Ploiesti. On the way, visit of the famous monasteries of Valachia: Horezu (built during the rule of Brancoveanu), Bistrita Monastery, “Dintr-un Lemn". Lunch at Curtea de Arges. Visit of Curtea de Arges - the monastery (one of the most precious treasures of Romanian medieval art and architecture) and the Old Princely Court. Arrival in Ploiesti in the evening. Accommodation and dinner in a 3* Hotel in the center of the city.
DAY 4 Your first day of Danube Delta
After breakfast, departure to Tulcea. Lunch break on the way. Arrival in the afternoon. Accommodation on a 3* Ship - Hotel. Dinner. We head deep into the Danube Delta - amazing sceneries.
DAY 5 A full Danube Delta day
Morning - arrival in the heart of the Delta. After breakfast, exploration of the Danube Delta using boats along the small channels to see some of the important lakes in the area. Lunch, dinner and accommodation on the same Hotel.
DAY 6 Reaching the seaside
After breakfast, the visit of the Danube Delta continues. Arrival in Tulcea Harbour by noon. Lunch break. Departure to Constanta. Visit of the ruins at Histria. Accommodation and dinner in Mamaia resort at a 3* Hotel.
DAY 7 Reach the capital
City tour of Constanta after breakfast - visit of some of the most important museums. Lunch. Departure to Bucharest in the afternoon. Arrival and accommodation at a 3* Hotel in the heart of the city. Special Romanian dinner.
DAY 8 City tour of Bucharest
City tour of Bucharest with a visit to the Palace of Parliament (former Palace of Socialism during Ceausescu dictatorship - second biggest building in the world after the Pentagon), the Patriarchal church, Village Museum etc. Departure in the afternoon.
