Timisoara was all the time a modern city, and not only technologically (first city having street lights, one of the first having tram, etc) and cultural but also from the mentality point of view. Here were living together many minorities and there was no ethnic problems. One can find here romanians, hungarians, germans (the Danube schwabs), serbians, and gypsies, each of them with its partcularities and it social life.
In december 1989 was the city were the anticommunist revolution started, and the first city who declared its freedom.

Friday:

Arrival, transfer to your 3* Hotel located in the heart of the city. Walking city tour of the center of Timisoara. 1 hour chat with your guide about the program.
Optional you can have dinner in the city.

Saturday:

Hhalf a day trip around Timisoara.
After breakfast you depart to Lenauheim, the place where the austrain poet was born. Visit the museum, where an impressive puppet collection dressed in all schwabs traditional costumes is to be seen.
You will have lunch in one of the important vineyards in Romania, Recas, where obvioulsy before we will enjoy a wine tasting.
Return back to the city late afternoon, have free time for shopping or having a drink in one of the terasses downtown.
Dinner in the city, and after you can enjoy the nightlife in Timisoara.

Sunday:

After the party we had yesterday, we will get up late in the morning, have a late breakfast, if time permits we may visit the Banat History Museum.
Afternoon departure.
