After halting on the eve of the feasts at the foot of the mountain - which in the course of centuries was named „Gaina cu ouale de aur” (The Hen with the Golden Eggs ), by the light of fires and fir torches lighting the way from Campeni and Avram Iancu , Vascau, and Bulzesti, where livel  „opening” parties are held - at down, groups  of people start headed by  fiddlers, for the ridges from where come the sounds of the tulnic and youthful dances. And high up on the plateau, the eyes can take in the entire beauty  of the Moti realm, this place where historical events and legends seem to come to life in the mighty upsurge of the present.

Dancers from Stremt, Ocna Mures, Crisani, Brad, Bosorod or Geoagiu the renowned girls from Capilna - potters from Cristior, Halmagel, Obirsia, Tirnavita or Carpinet; tulnic, and pipe makers from Vidra, Ponorel, Avram Iancu, Budureasa, makers of distaffs, ploscas or pitchers from Ocisor or the Aries Valley; sumanari from Sirbesti; feast with cherry and cornel brandy; Moti dances such as the Moti land has been called, with incomparable poetry, where a vast concourse of the people in a riot of colours and a general feeling of the joy to be alive and enjoy oneself, lend the moments special charm with witty sallies, present in the lively and suggestive funny „strigaturi” (homours or satirical verse chanted during some folk dances).
