One of the most renowned Wallachian summer festivals „ The Nedeia Muntilor ” held at Fundata continues a long - standing custom of economic exchanges, merry - makings and fraternity between the people living on either side of the mountains. National costumes, dances and songs of infinite stylistic variety-ilustrate here, in this wonderful highland settlement of confluence of the popular spirituality-the soul and the rich and picturesque  vernacular, the wealth of wisdom and beauty handed down from generation to generation.

Every new edition of the Nedeia Muntilor at Fundata (Mountains`Nedeia at Fundata) is remarkable for an ever greater artistic and cultural participation. Besides folklore groups from the urban and rural settelments in the immediate neighbourhood (Bran, Moeciu de Jos, Fundata, Sirnea, Cristian), artistic ensembles from more remote localities in Brasov county (Rupea, Codlea, Brasov, etc) and from the neighbouring counties of Arges, Dimbovita, Sibiu, Covasna, have been recently taking part in this traditional pastoral folklore event, displaying the originality and variety of the Romanian, Hungarian and German songs, dances and costumes.

That is the reason why, beginning with 1972, experts meet in order to study and set off the essential traits of the folk art of this etnofraphy-folklore area.

The participants in the Nedeia can also get to know and taste special pastoral culinary specialities.
